CleanMy Terms of Service

Apple's Guideline 1.2 requires an "EULA" / Terms of Service that explicitly prohibits objectionable content uploads and reserves the right to terminate accounts. The "Content rules" section below carries that.
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of CleanMy (the iOS app and cleanmy.life). By
installing CleanMy or visiting the site, you accept these terms.
1. Who we are
CleanMy is operated by Devon Saliga, sole proprietor ("we"). Contact:
support@cleanmy.life.
2. Eligibility
You may use CleanMy if you are at least 13 years old, OR you are under 13 and a parent or legal guardian has set CleanMy up for you in person on your device, authenticating with their own Sign in with Apple (the "family configuration"). A parent's setup constitutes parental consent under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. CleanMy does not rely on Apple Family Sharing.
If you are under 13 and using CleanMy outside the family configuration, you may not use CleanMy. Stop using it.
3. Your account
You can use CleanMy without an account in solo mode (no Screen Time enforcement, no Sign in with Apple, no purchase). Adult, parent, and kid modes require either Sign in with Apple (adult/parent) or a parent's in-person setup using their own Sign in with Apple (kid). CleanMy does not rely on Apple Family Sharing.
You are responsible for actions taken under your account. If you suspect your
account has been compromised, email support@cleanmy.life.
4. Content rules (your uploads)
When you upload a cleaning photo via CleanMy, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, process, and (if you publish to the public feed) display that photo, solely for the purpose of operating CleanMy and serving the features you've enabled.
You agree NOT to upload or publish:
- pornographic content of any kind,
- content depicting violence, gore, or threatening imagery,
- content depicting real or apparent abuse of any person,
- content depicting minors in any state of undress or in sexual contexts,
- content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, or right of publicity,
- content that harasses, threatens, defames, or invades the privacy of another person,
- content that promotes hate speech, terrorism, or illegal activity,
- content containing personally identifying information (your own or someone else's) including faces, addresses, phone numbers, license plates, school IDs, badges,
- content that has been digitally manipulated to misrepresent the cleaning that was done (image-recognition matches against known stock-photo datasets, reused before-photos, near-zero-pixel-delta cleans),
- spam, advertising, promotional content,
- machine-generated content (AI-generated images, deepfakes) submitted as cleaning artifacts.
Cleaning photos must be of physical spaces. That's what the app does. Photos of faces, animals, food, or anything that isn't a cleanable space are out-of-purpose and may be removed.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. Any violation is grounds for immediate, permanent ejection from the service.
5. Reporting and moderation
If you see content on CleanMy that violates these terms, tap Report inappropriate content on the post in question. We will:
- hide the reported post from your view immediately,
- queue it for human review within 24 hours,
- if the report is substantiated, remove the post permanently and consider account-level action against the uploader.
If a user is harassing you, you can tap Block this user on their profile. Blocking hides their content from you in both directions and prevents future contact. Reporting a post or comment also blocks its author for you.
We use automated tools to screen uploaded images for illegal or prohibited content, and we may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and report apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC and law enforcement as required by law. We reserve the right to add third-party detection services, including industry image-hash matching such as Microsoft PhotoDNA, at any time.

6. Subscriptions and in-app purchases
CleanMy offers CleanMy Plus, an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's StoreKit. One membership covers your whole family and includes 30 AI-verified cleaning sessions each calendar month, shared across everyone you pair. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in Settings, and unused cleans do not roll over. We also offer optional consumable add-on cleans for topping up. The free cleaning-to-screen-time mechanism (Quick Clean timers) is always available at no cost; CleanMy Plus is an optional way to earn screen time faster, with AI verification and a shareable before/after.
Refunds are handled by Apple. Apple's standard refund process applies; we honor all Apple refund decisions and adjust your account accordingly. If Apple refunds a clean that you have already spent, your balance reflects the deficit until your pool refills at the next monthly reset or you purchase more.
7. Family Controls (Screen Time)
In family and adult configurations, CleanMy uses Apple's Family Controls APIs to apply and lift shields on apps you (or your parent) chose to gate. You can disable CleanMy's enforcement at any time from in-app Settings ("Remove all limits") or from iOS Settings → Screen Time → CleanMy ("Revoke authorization").
We do not observe which apps you have opened, which apps you have been prevented from opening, or how long you have spent in any app.
8. Service termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- you violate these terms or our content rules,
- you upload content reported as objectionable and substantiated by our review,
- you attempt to defraud the credit system or the Family Controls integration,
- your continued use poses risk to other users or to CleanMy.
We will email you (at your Sign-in-with-Apple email if available) before terminating unless the violation is severe (e.g. illegal content).
9. Service termination by you
You can delete your CleanMy account in-app at Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is server-side cascade; complete within 24 hours.
10. Disclaimers
CleanMy is provided "as is." We do not guarantee:
- that the AI verifier will always agree with your judgment of "is this clean enough,"
- that Apple's Family Controls infrastructure will operate without bugs (Apple's Screen Time API has known issues we do not control),
- that the app will work on unsupported iOS versions or unreleased devices,
- that all features will be available in all regions.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our maximum liability for any claim is the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months (likely $0-$50).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Devon Saliga against any claim arising from your breach of these terms or from content you upload to CleanMy.
12. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we post the new version here and bump the "Effective date" at the top. Material changes are surfaced in-app and via email to Sign-in-with-Apple-verified accounts.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States. Disputes are resolved in New York County, New York.
